Alpha lowers charges with the benefit of VAT ruling

At a time of rising inflationary pressures and some negative news headlines, we are pleased to announce some good news!

Having worked with our professional partners for more than twelve months and latterly HMRC, I am very pleased to announce that Alpha has achieved a favourable ruling with regards to VAT. I can confirm that Alpha’s custody fee is moving to a “VAT exempt” status, which will reduce client portfolio charges by 5 basis points from 1st October.

Alpha applies a 0.25% custody fee, irrespective of portfolio size, which is no longer subject to VAT.

I believe this is now one of the most competitive charges for holding advised portfolios of less than £250,000 in the market place.

Furthermore, the custody fee VAT ruling now concludes the company’s review of VAT. With regards to Alpha’s management fee for managing portfolios linked to Model Portfolios, both internally and on a third-party platform, these are also now “VAT exempt”.

As a result, our competitively priced services are now even better value. This is hopefully not only welcome news, but an opportunity to talk to us.

Alpha has weathered the economic upheaval in good shape and is looking to the future, confident in the services we offer.
